All students are required to apply for financial aid every year. Start the process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and entering our school code of 003798.
UW’s priority filing date: For the 2025-26 year, the FAFSA/WASFA priority filing date has been extended to February 28, 2025. Your 2025-2026 FAFSA should be received by the federal processor no later than February 28, 2025 for priority consideration of all of our aid programs.
The 2025-2026 FAFSA will ask about 2023 tax information. For more details about how to complete the form, please see this page.

Undocumented Students/Other Select Applicants:
For 2025-26 school year, complete the WASFA Application by the UW’s priority filing date of February 28, 2025 to be considered for state and institutional need-based aid. The WASFA form will be available starting in December, 2024.

Department of Education has resolved the issue for students whose family members include a parent or spouse without a Social Security Number (SSN) unable to access the FAFSA. Families should now be able to access and complete the FAFSA. If you were unable to complete the filing of your FAFSA because one or more of your contributors did not have a SSN, please attempt to file your FAFSA now.
